THE SCRIPTURES
We believe that the Bible, both the Old and the New Testaments, are the inspired and inerrant word of God. 
It is our infallible and final authority in all matters of
faith and life.

THE TRIUNE GOD
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 
John 1:1-14, 10:30, 14:26, 15:26, 17:21-23; 11Cor 13:14.

GOD THE FATHER
We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. 
Numbers 14:18; Psalm 36:5-6; John 14:6.

JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. We believe in His sinless life and His substitutionary atoning death and that His shed blood provides the only ground for justification and salvation. We believe in His bodily resurrection, ascension into Heaven where He is our perpetual intercessor and advocate at the right hand of the Father. We believe in His literal, physical second coming.

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit and that His work glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts people of their sin, regenerates the sinner who believes, and sanctifies and empowers them for ministry. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells, gifts, instructs, guides, comforts and empowers the believer for godly living and service.

THE CHURCH
We believe the Church is comprised of all persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been united together in the body of Christ of which He alone is the head. All actions within the body of Christ of PVCC will be carried out under Christ's rule and authority. 
1Cor 3:9-11, 12:12-13; Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:19-22.

SIN, SEPARATION, AND SALVATION
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and was separated from God thereby incurring physical and spiritual death. Therefore, all humans are born with a sinful nature. We believe that all who receive by faith, the Lord Jesus Christ, are born again of the Holy Spirit and become children of God with the assurance of everlasting life.

SATAN
We believe in the personality and reality of Satan who opposes the works and the will of God.

PRAYER
We believe in the competency of the individual, as led by the Holy Spirit, to pray directly to God.

ORDINANCES/SACRAMENTS
We believe in the holy ordinances of Baptism and Communion in obedience to the command of Christ.

MISSIONS
We believe in both local and worldwide endeavors to teach all nations the gospel in obedience to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. 
Matthew 38:19-20.

FUTURE STATE
We believe that, at death, believers go immediately into the presence of God forever.

We believe, that at death, unbelievers are eternally separated from God
in a real place of eternal fire.
